I sometimes have trouble with the "law vs gospel" thing; but your comments include both. "The challenge to live up to the STANDARDS God sets for us..." =law/rule "....but it sure won't be without God's HELP." We are instructed to love our neighbors and our enemies. Most often it's easy to love our neighbors; but not so the case with our enemies. It is then we turn to the gospel, to God's words of love for us, and ask His Grace and help to do that which is more difficult. This is really the most difficult task. It is easy to believe - a bit more difficult to it to action - and as the saying goes: "Actions speak louder than words." I think my actions are still at a whisper, but I'm working on it! Love everyone and most especially those who have hurt your feelings, who have injured you, or done anything else that has offended you in anyway. That's a tall order!
