1) The kids are singing during worship on Sunday, the 26th of Feb. The song is: “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.” Please have your children to Zion by 9:10 that Sunday in order to be able to run through the song once before the service starts. The kids can sit with their parents that Sunday and just come forward when it is time to sing.

Making Sense of Scripture
ikoniMaking Sense of Scripture invites the reader to engage in a conversation, one that he imagines discussing around his kitchen table, about seven major questions of the Bible. More than a standard biblical reference book, Making Sense of Scripture is a dialogue that encourages readers to bring their questions or doubts to the table when reading Scripture. During this conversation, there are different opportunities for the reader to interact with the Bible, ultimately leaving room for personal transformation of the heart and mind. Join us beginning on Sunday, September 11th at 10:45 a.m. This will be an 8 week course. You may sign up on the main entrance bulletin board.
Crossways Bible Study
To enroll for Crossways, please call 715.735.7898 or sign up on the sheet posted on the main bulletin board. This will begin on Wednesday, September 7th at 6 p.m. in the Zion Library.
Ever wish you had a better grasp of each book of the Bible-and how its message relates to that of all the others?
Sign up for Crossways– a faith-enriching, life-changing course that serves as your ‘road map’ for an unforgettable journey through the entire Bible.
“The Old Testament used to seem hard to grasp, but this pictorial ‘grandsweep’ approach provides an overall panoramic view of the Bible that makes it all ‘click’ and make sense.”
Spark: Faith Formation
SPARK: Faith Formation will be starting for the children of Zion on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, 6-7 pm, for ages 3 through fifth grade. After the Christmas vacation, classes will be held on Sundays after worship. You can find a Registration Form in the Narthex. When filled out, you can return it to my mailbox in the Fellowship Hall. Otherwise, you can go to Zion’s website and click the link for the Spark: Activate Faith Program. From there, fill out your sign-in information, then go to the profile tab and fill in your family’s information. All information will be safe on this website. Registration is very important! If you children can only make it once a month, or your grandchildren are visiting, we still would love to see them in the classrooms.
Spark is Bible focused, exploring one of the lessons used at the following Sunday’s worship. The Spark website also allows parents to see what stories, events and fun activities, the children are having throughout the year. There will be a Christmas and Easter Program this year, which will be held during Sunday worship.
We are still in great need of teachers and subs to make this wonderful new program work for our kids. If you would like to work with the children of Zion to witness the joy of learning about Jesus, please contact Tracy Nowak or Pastor Keith.
We need donations of cookies or snack food which will be served to the children during SPARK: Faith Formation. It could be crackers, cookies, jello, juice pouches, or bottles of juice. These treats do not need to be homemade. We will need these snacks all year long. There will be a basket in the narthex to collect these donations.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Tracy Nowak, SPARK: Faith Formation Superintendent, 715.587.3084, or tjnowak92@hotmail.com.
