Camp Edge Bible School

What a great week! 58 different children attended with around 46 kids each night.  We had tons of volunteers, talented teachers and 4 pastors each night making a difference in kids lives. Thank you First Presbyterian Church for the use of your beautiful facility. Though we had rain one night the weather was great and the air-conditioning was appreciated. We collected enough food to take to three agencies and even brought some leftover food to the DAR lunch program. We ate delicious meals, sang fun songs, learned bible verses, and created new friends all in the name of Jesus. May this be a great catalyst for your Christian Education program this fall. We are looking forward to planning another great week for the summer of 2012.

For Vacation Bible School August 9-12th we will need your help in many ways:

Volunteer to be a helper even if only for one night. We need people to help with registration, nametags, games, crafts, kitchen crew for supper on Wed. decorating or just following a group from activity to activity. It does not matter your age and men would especially be nice. We will find you a job!

Decorating. We need animal print material or pillows, stuffed dogs, cats or zoo animals. Large tall baskets like the African woman carry on their heads. Chicken wire or small fencing. Fishing poles, a child’s kiddie pool. We need to build a large Baobob tree in the sanctuary.

Animal Shelter

Send something for our mission project for the animal shelter. See next page.

DONATIONS:

We need money to help pay for the bus and the  children to go to the Zoo on Thursday night. To sponsor a child is only $5. We need $50 yet to pay for the bus.

FOOD

Sign up for donating food for Wed. night supper. See the clipboard or sign up sheets on the bulletin board in the Narthex.
