Worship

Zion’s Sunday worship is held at 9:30 a.m. Occasionally adult classes are held following the Sunday service. Except during special holidays. During the school year, Zion also offers a half-hour worship opportunity with Holy Communion beginning at 5:30 p.m.

On the first Sunday of the month we use a traditional setting of worship originally used in the Lutheran Book of Worship.

On the second Sunday of the month Zion uses a “contemporary” worship style which features a band.

On the third Sunday of the month Zion uses setting number 8 from Evangelical Lutheran Worship.

On the fourth Sunday of the month Zion uses the “Now The Feast and Celebration” liturgy, written by Marty Haugen.

On the fifth Sunday of the month we sometimes hold a hymn sing or feature some other worship theme or style.

  1. Please mail a copy of the “Word in Season” to my mother, Rosalie Settersten. Thanks

  2. Please say a prayer for our granddaughter Paige’s husband Damon Johnson who has been in the ICU here in Austin, Texas for over 2 weeks with covid.
    Thank you Pastor Kieth,
    Duane Clarke
